Animals as leaders releasing new music would make my day fucking immediately. Always my favorite thing to throw on when I'm with people who complain about "all of that screaming" in my music. These guys are just perfect. I'm in constant debate between AAL and Gojira as my all time favorite band, although they are very different haha. Also coming in very close are then System of a Down, Metallica, and Periphery. Although depending on my mood, nothing beats Pink Floyd cranked to the absolute max while driving around at night.

My FILs neighbor at his cabin is a medical researcher in his mid-50s, and hands down, the biggest AAL fan i know. He was into 70s progressive music growing up, and discovered them a few years ago. My FIL was also a progressive rock guy, but he never made the jump.
The interesting thing is, songs like this sound like heavier versions of what you would have bands like Rush doing. I can completely understand why he’s a fan.
